Job Description
As the Global Senior Manager ofSocially & Environmentally Responsible Sourcing, you willlead anddrive the strategy of theenvironmental& socially responsible supply chainprogram across direct and indirect supply chains. In this role, you will help strengthen sourcing practices, support business continuity, and promote clear standards for supplier performance across thesupplierlifecycle. Working cross-functionally across the business, you will embed sourcing expectations into supplier selection, contracting, performance management, and continuous improvement.
This role closely partners with Corporate Global Sustainability and other key stakeholders to translate corporateobjectives, policy requirements, and evolving regulatory expectations into practical supply chain processes, controls, and supplier-facing requirements. This leader owns the Supplier Code of Conduct and associated governance, due diligence, and risk-based supplier oversight, including assessments, audits, mitigation actions, and issue resolution. The role is also responsible for supply chain reporting, disclosures, and leadership updates, using metrics and dashboards toassesssupplier behavior,demonstratecompliance to external stakeholders, and strengthen GM’s credibility on ESG performance across the supply base. This role also builds organizational capability by developing talent, influencing cross-functional teams, and driving execution through ambiguity and change
WhatYou’llDo (Responsibilities):
Own and evolve theSocially & Environmentally Responsible sourcingstrategy,roadmap, and governance, including policies, standards, and procedures aligned to the Supplier Code of Conduct and applicable regulations.
Plan and manage supplier assessments and audits(desktop and/or on-site) in collaboration with third parties and internal stakeholders; track findings, corrective action plans (CAPs), and verification of closure.
Build trust and partnerships–PartnerinternallywithCorporate Global Sustainability,Purchasingand Legalto integrate requirements into sourcing packages, supplier onboarding, contracts, and supplier performance management (including training and communications).Actively lead engagement withexternalindustrypartners.
Develop andmaintainprogram metrics,dashboards, and management reporting; prepare leadership updates and support external reporting needs (e.g., customer requests, sustainability reporting, regulatory submissions).
Develop talent and organizational capability, including day-to-day coaching, performance management, and career development for team members, ensuring alignment with GM values and behaviors.

Experience running or advising on multi-tier traceabilityprograms, a strong understanding of the evolving global regulatory landscape, and the credibility to act as a trusted subject-matter expert for both customers and internal teams.
Deepexpertisein Supply ChainSustainability/ESG,and/orResponsible Sourcing, witha track recordof leading complex, cross-functional initiatives or projects and driving measurable improvements within their function.
Expertisein sustainablesourcing and human rights due diligence concepts(risk assessment, supplier engagement, audits/assessments, corrective action, and continuous improvement), including familiarity with common frameworks and expectations (e.g., OECD Due Diligence Guidance, Supplier Codes of Conduct)
Strong customer-centric leadership, with the ability to listen to the voice of the customer, influence stakeholders at multiple levels, and effectively teach and coach others.
Strategic orientation and learning agility, with the ability to quickly adapt tonew information, environments, and priorities while constructively challenging the status quo within their scope.
Provenpeopleleadership, including mentoring, motivating, and eliciting high performance from direct reports and cross-functional partners.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
10+ years of experience inSupply Chain, Procurement, Compliance, Sustainability/ESG,and/orResponsible Sourcing.
Proven negotiation, supplier management, and analytical skills applied to complex, high-impact business decisions.
Demonstrated successoperatingin a multi-stakeholder environment, setting expectations, aligning stakeholders, and following through on commitments.
Provenpeopleleadership skills, including performance management, coaching, feedback, and talent development.
Preferred Qualifications (What Gives You a Competitive Edge)
Experience with commodities (aluminum, minerals,leather,metals, resins, stampings, castings, plastics, electronics, etc.)
Strong knowledge of the global regulatory landscape governing supply-chain transparency and responsible sourcing, including deforestation regulations (e.g.EUDR),greenhouse gas/supplier decarbonization initiatives,supply-chain due diligence laws, and sector-specific compliance frameworks.
