What You'll Do:
- Promote and enforce a strong safety-first culture across all levels of the organization
- Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations at the federal, state, and local levels
- Develop, implement, and deliver EHS policies, procedures, and training programs
- Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments; implement corrective actions as needed
- Lead incident investigations and partner with HR on workers' compensation, return-to-work, and modified duty programs
- Monitor workplace hazards (physical, chemical, and biological) and implement mitigation strategies
- Serve as a point of contact for regulatory agencies and support audits and inspections
- Coordinate emergency response programs and safety initiatives
- Lead and support monthly safety and environmental meetings
- Maintain SDS documentation in accordance with GHS standards
- Support safety KPI tracking and continuous improvement efforts
- Oversee the pollution control team, including training, performance management, and operational effectiveness
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of three (3) years of EHS experience in a manufacturing setting
- Industrial wastewater experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and recordkeeping skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to train and influence employees at all levels
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and the ability to build collaborative relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
