We are seeking a reliable and practical Groundskeeper / Maintenance Allrounder with MR Driver licence to join our team in a full-time, dual-role position supporting both our school facilities and boarding operations.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys grounds maintenance, general handyperson work, and driving, and takes pride in keeping busy in a varied role.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Grounds (School Facilities)
- Lawn mowing, garden care, and general groundskeeping
- Assist with maintenance and handyperson tasks
- Support upkeep of school facilities and outdoor spaces
- Oval and turf maintenance (school holidays focus)
Student Transport (MR Driver)
- Safely transport boarding students to activities, sport and work
- Ensure reliable and professional student transport services
- Maintain high standards of safety and duty of care
Hours of Work
School Term:
- 1:00pm – 3:00pm: Maintenance & grounds duties
- 3:00pm – 9:00pm: Student driving (MR licence required)
School Holidays:
- 7:00am – 3:00pm: Full-time grounds and maintenance work
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a later start to the day, with afternoon and evening hours during the school term and day work during school holidays.
About You
- Experience in groundskeeping, maintenance, or general handyperson work
- Holds a current MR (Medium Rigid) Driver’s Licence
- Proven safe driving record
- Proactive and reliable – enjoys staying busy and finding tasks
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
Mandatory Requirements
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Current MR Driver’s Licence
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
