Job Description:
This position is responsible for building, developing, and managing a geographically dispersed team dedicated to maximizing system reliability and availability. Key priorities include co-developing and executing operational processes and documentation, supporting new project deployments, and providing comprehensive post-COD support—from issue identification and resolution to project reporting, system testing, compliance, and analytics.
In addition, the Field Services Director will oversee the regional cost center, driving financial performance, mitigating risks, and enabling sustainable growth. By combining strategic leadership with operational excellence, this role ensures that energy storage projects deliver lasting value to both customers and the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and own O&M Service Business performance across key business metrics (Safety,Finance, Full Maint Scope of Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, PLC, etc.)
Identify new issues affecting product performance or Fluence Energy Service and Support business performance, develop plans for resolution, socialize, execute resolution and follow up to ensure sustainable
Required Qualifications & Experience
Undergraduate degree required with strong preference for technical degree (BSEE, BSME, BSCE, Chemistry, Physics, Math)
10 years related experience in electric utility or independent power producer experience within generation / operations / technical teams (Coal, Gas, Solar, Hydro, Wind).
Successful track record of business process management to include project reporting/management, work execution, procure to pay, change management, workforce development and planning
