Overview
The EE/SW Integration Manager at the OEM level owns system-level & sub-system-level electrical and software integration strategy, execution, and release readiness across multiple vehicle programs. The EE/SW Integration Sr. Manager is responsible for ensuring that all electrical and software systems deliver the intended vehicle-level functional performance. This role goes beyond architecture compliance and focuses on feature behavior, timing performance, system robustness, drivability impact, and cross-domain interaction quality. The position owns system-level validation and readiness of how the vehicle behaves under real-world conditions, including transient events, edge cases, environmental stress, and feature concurrency. Work directly with MSTs, software engineers, systems engineers, validation teams, and suppliers to ensure robust delivery.
What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
Roles and Responsibilities
- Overview of the roles and responsibilities are listed below for reference (scope to be adjusted further along the program development based on need).
- Own L2 system + sub-system integration of all domain controllers and distributed ECUs into the vehicle E/E architecture.
- Own L2 Test infrastructure HW/SW builds, model builds to drive HIL, SIL, MIL implementation frameworks for automation toolchain, test and release.
- Own Software Integration & Validation per vehicle software maturity, performance and release gates and approve vehicle integration builds (per milestones).
- Ensure alignment to OEM-defined zonal or domain-based architectures.
- Validation responsible for network topology, gateway routing strategies, signal database integrity (DBC, ARXML), bandwidth utilization and bus loading.
- Validate and manage vehicle communication across CAN / CAN-FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet (100/1000BASE-T1), FlexRay network framework.
- Validate and release bootloader compatibility, flashing strategy, partitioning strategy (AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive), Memory and CPU utilization budgets.
- Coordinate integration across Powertrain / Electrification (BMS, inverter, charging), Body & Comfort, ADAS / AD compute platforms, Infotainment & Connectivity, Central Compute / Zonal Controllers.
- Validate that system behavior meets system requirement specifications (SRS) under nominal conditions, boundary conditions, fault injection scenarios, high bus load scenarios, low voltage and cold crank conditions.
- Ensure feature-level integration synchronization, power mode management, Wake-up/sleep strategy robustness.
- Own system-level regression test planning, drive root cause analysis of cross-domain issues and help support integration war-room activities during DV/PV builds.
- Release and validate functional KPIs such as defect leakage rate, integration maturity index, build stability metrics, bus load margins, SW flash success rate etc.
- Validate wake-up/sleep strategies across ECUs, ensure no unintended current draw or parasitic drain and correct power state transitions during vehicle power cycles, start/stop/sleep, OTA updates/events.
- Validate UDS/DoIP response timing, diagnostic sessions do not degrade functional performance, DTC accuracy and freeze frame integrity and robustness.
- Leadership Competencies:
- Strong system-level thinking, technical arbitration capability
- Structured problem solving
- Program milestone ownership, ability to operate in high-pressure launch environments
- Build and mentor new engineers & teams from ground-up
