Construction
CPP is Australia’s leading provider of end-to-end substation solutions for utilities and the renewable energy sector, delivering design, installation, and maintenance services up to 500kV. Specialising in both greenfield and brownfield projects, we have successfully delivered over 100 HV substations nationwide.
As the country’s most experienced contractor in Balance of Plant (BoP) services, we have connected more wind farms and battery storage systems (BESS) to the grid than any other provider. Our one stop-shop approach covering design, civil, manufacturing, electrical works, grid connection, and commissioning, ensures seamless project delivery.
The Opportunity
Due to a strong pipeline of upcoming HV projects, CPP is seeking experienced Site Managers to support current and future works.
We are seeking a Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day construction works across our High Voltage infrastructure and associated renewable projects. As a key part of our construction team, you will work with the Project Manager and project teams to achieve successful completion and delivery of project work on site. You will manage site workers, contractors and the general day-to-day aspects of onsite construction.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the successful completion and execution of the project scope, whilst managing the onsite workers, personnel and contractors
- Support the management of the project in relation to the schedule and cost
- Quality assurance of the construction works
- Participate in project progress and close out meetings
- Control and oversee outage applications of the network to complete the scheduled scope or works
About you
- Electrical trade qualified with proven HV construction site management experience (BESS construction highly desirable)
- Strong leadership capability, including managing trade staff and apprentices
- Solid understanding of HV construction, commissioning, outage planning, and staging
- Strong communicator able to work with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
Desirable
- Experience working with Australian utilities or renewable grid connections
- Certificate IV in Safety or Civil Construction
- Project or construction management experience
