DescriptionCavendish Farms is seeking a Manager, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) to lead health, safety, and environmental strategy across our farming, storage, and research operations. This role supports 9 sites in Canada (NB, NS, PEI) and 3 sites in the U.S., working closely with senior leaders to strengthen safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and prevent injury and loss.
Wage range: $125,000 – $135,000 per year with full benefits package, company vehicle and discretionary annual bonus.
Work location: New Annan, PE .
It is a full time salaried permanent role.

Responsibilities- Lead the Health & Safety Management System across farming, storage (PEI), and research sites.
- Provide leadership and oversight to Senior HSE Specialists supporting farms, storages, and research operations.
- Develop and implement consistent safety programs, policies, and systems across all locations.
- Conduct site audits, inspections, and safety tours; ensure corrective actions and training requirements are completed.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. health & safety regulations and corporate standards.
- Analyze safety data and lead monthly KPI reporting using systems such as Intelex and ISN.
- Partner with senior and operational leaders to embed safety into day to day farming operations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen safety culture and performance.
Qualifications- Post secondary education in Health & Safety or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a supervisory or safety leadership role in agriculture, farming, manufacturing, or similar operational environments.
- Professional certification such as CRSP, CHSC, or equivalent experience leading safety programs.
- Experience overseeing multi site operations and implementing standardized safety systems.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health & safety legislation and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to lead change, influence leaders, and coach teams.
- Comfortable working with safety data, KPIs, and incident management systems (Intelex preferred).
- Strong communication, organizational, and relationship building skills.
