Job Description Summary
The GE Gas Power business has a globally distributed supply chain and is in the midst of a significant transformation of the supply chain processes with the key objective of improving on time delivery, reducing inventory and optimizing capacity. The primary goal of the Technical Product Manager will be to lead initiatives on planning initiatives related to material planning, driving consensus and mentoring material management teams on adopting leading practices.
Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Drive solutions towards supporting the Gas Power strategy of a unified wing to wing supply chain plan to improve Inventory Turns and On Time Delivery.
- Responsible for the Oracle SCM Cloud application strategy and integrations with upstream and downstream applications.
- Evaluate integration tools and influence the integration strategy to ensure optimization in design and performance.
- Support resolution of critical issues related to Planning applications and integrations that are impacting business continuity.
- Defining planning master data principles, standards, and guidelines for data management, integration, security, and governance and coherence in master data across downstream applications.
- Support solution architects in ensuring that the required features are available to support proof of concept sessions and building enhancements in the planning solutions.
- Demonstrate very strong technical leadership skills including solid communication and analytical skills with a thorough understanding of product development and successful problem definition, decomposition, estimation and resolution.
- Drive Lean adoption and process improvement in the operations and compliance/governance space.
- Collaborate with the vendor partner and business leads and support global design, documentation, configuration review, testing and go live, functional troubleshooting, setup changes, queries and data analysis.
Desired Characteristics:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
- Understanding of Gas Power supply chain, supply chain and ERP concepts.
- Ability to challenge status quo and facilitate change through business and IT stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and presentation skills.
- Flexibility to travel when needed (only occasional travels considered < 10%)

Qualifications/Requirements
- Demonstrates forward-thinking planning and execution.
- Understanding of business processes related to material and capacity planning and other inventory planning methods such as min max, reorder point planning.
- Exposure to business processes implemented in Oracle Supply Chain Cloud, ERP’s, release planning and overall project management.
- Ability to influence positively and energize the teams and partners to embrace technology and reach the goals.
