Engineer Product Compliance & Sustainability (m/f/d) (Ref.Nr. 1012768) in full-time or part-time
Locations: Stuttgart and Arnstadt
You are happy to take on this responsibility:
As an Engineer Product Compliance & Sustainability (m/f/d), you support various product stakeholders in all matters relating to environmental and sustainability requirements arising from legal regulations as well as customer requirements. In this role, you analyze and identify risks and impacts related to product compliance and sustainability and develop appropriate mitigation measures.
Your responsibilities also include the following tasks:
You analyze legal and customer-specific requirements in the field of environmental product compliance and sustainability, assessing risks and impacts
Acting as a central interface, you inform and advise internal and external stakeholders on regulatory changes, methods, tools, and product innovations
You are in direct contact with customers, authorities, and suppliers, for example in the context of declarations, reporting, and information requests
During bids and projects, you ensure that relevant requirements such as RoHS, REACH, Ecodesign, recyclability, and environmental footprint are fully considered
You establish and continuously optimize processes, documentation, and tools to improve efficiency and performance in compliance and sustainability
Finally, you steer implementation across the supplier network, manage deviations and non-compliances, define KPIs, and actively support contract and customer managers
This is what you bring with you:
You hold a completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a scientific discipline, ideally with a focus on sustainability
You bring solid knowledge of relevant standards, legislation, and regulations related to environmental product compliance and sustainability
Experience in a project- and engineering-driven environment, ideally within the rail or industrial sector, is an advantage but not a requirement
Strong analytical skills, a structured way of working, and excellent organizational abilities are among your strengths
As a team-oriented personality, you act flexibly, solution-oriented, and with strong communication skills
Very good German and English skills enable you to work confidently in an international environment
