Job Title: Junior Electrical System Testing and Analysis Technician
Salary: Starting at $28/hr
Job Summary: The Electrical System Testing and Analysis Technician is responsible for evaluating, testing, troubleshooting, and analyzing electrical systems and components to ensure performance, safety, and compliance with specifications. This role supports engineering, maintenance, and operations teams by identifying issues, recommending improvements, and ensuring reliable system functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform testing and validation of electrical systems, components, and equipment.
· Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition systems.
· Analyze test data and generate detailed reports with findings and recommendations.
· Assist in the development and execution of test plans and procedures.
· Inspect electrical systems for compliance with design specifications, codes, and safety standards.
· Support commissioning, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Collaborate with engineers and other technical staff to resolve system performance issues.
· Maintain accurate documentation of tests, calibrations, and system performance.
· Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
· Certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field experience (or equivalent experience).
· 2+ years of experience in electrical testing, troubleshooting, or system analysis preferred.
· Strong understanding of electrical circuits, control systems, and instrumentation.
· Proficiency with diagnostic and testing equipment.
· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with control systems, or industrial automation.
· Familiarity with data analysis software or test automation tools. (Easy power, etc.)
· Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, OSHA).
Work Environment:
· Work may be performed in laboratory, manufacturing, or field environments.
· May require lifting equipment, standing for extended periods, and working around energized systems.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to work in confined spaces or at heights when necessary.
