Summary
This position is in the Office of Air and Radiation, Office of Transportation and Air Quality, Safety, Quality, Facilities Management Office. About: Office of Air and Radiation. This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.
Major Duties
At the full performance level of this position, you will: Plan, organize, and direct the unit's activities to ensure legal and regulatory compliance in reducing the impact of mobile sources such as cars, trucks, airplanes and locomotives on air pollution and greenhouse gases and to meet customer needs. Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities to promote an environment that empowers employees to participate in and contribute to effective mission accomplishment. Represent the Agency to stakeholders by building effective working relationships, providing policy and procedural guidance and updates, and resolving issues as they arise. Serve as a technical advisor on issues pertaining to the National Vehicle and Fuel Emissions Laboratory, its services and regulatory obligations, along with the implementation of the Office of Transportation and Air Quality's Quality Assurance System.
