Summary

This position is located in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of the Under Secretary, Office of Space Commerce (OSC), with one vacancy in Suitland, MD.

Major Duties

As a General Engineer, you will perform the following duties: Lead, manage, and coordinate systems engineering products and services for the systems engineering functions for data ingestion, mission planning, scheduling of data, data analysis, and data products for the Traffic Coordination System for Space (TraCSS) Space Situational Awareness (SSA) requirements. Ensure compliance with organizational engineering, technical, and programmatic procedural policy and directives for interface to the technical and mission requirements and the capabilities for TraCSS SSA data ingestion, mission planning, scheduling of data, data analysis, and data product systems to provide consistency with the Office of Space Command (OSC) concept of operations and functional requirements, and delivery to the operational team for execution. Design, identify, plan, and implement concepts for new data ingestion, mission planning, scheduling of data, and data analysis capabilities and requirements to meet evolving TraCSS stakeholders' needs. Serve as Subject Matter Expert, Technical Monitor, and Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for contracts pertaining to TraCSS delivery of data products for the SSA mission. Manage pre- and post-acquisition and associated technical monitoring and tracking tasks. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret-SCI Clearance to attend meetings and collaborate with Department of Defense (DOD), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and other government agencies that will require access to Top Secret and Compartmental info and systems. Position requires mandatory drug testing. Must be able to obtain and maintain Federal Acquisition Certification (FAC) Contracting Officer's Representatives (COR) Level II Certification.
