Summary
This position serves as a Project Manager for the National Park Service (NPS), overseeing the planning and execution of projects involving park facilities and infrastructure, including buildings, utilities, trails, and roads. Manages funded projects and provides expertise in funding strategies for high-cost initiatives. This is a term position expected to last 13 MONTHS but may be extended up to a total of 4 years at management's discretion.
Major Duties
The major duties of the Project Manager include, but are limited to, the following: Use knowledge of government regulations to assist the Contracting office in awarding Architectural and Engineering (A/E) and construction contracts. Brief Park, Denver Service Center, NPS Region 1 and WASO leadership on project status, delays and construction issues on large complex projects. Assist in negotiating A/E services, construction management services, and construction contracts. Participate in Value Analysis Workshops, and makes park, region, and design team (or equivalent) presentations on project needs, impacts, logistics, and temporary systems. Perform daily site visits to each project site an properly documents work, materials and manpower for each trade
