About the role
We are currently looking for an experienced Environmental Manager to join our team. This is a national role and can be based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne with frequent visits to site required.
This complex roles requires a combination of skills defined into three key areas.
- You’ll deliver front end technical environmental advice such as project risk profiling, costing, and guidance for tender submissions, environmental and sustainability risk planning etc
- Drive alignment with UGL’s companywide environmental process and system improvement programs
- Build a strong culture of environmental awareness and ownership with operational leaders within the Utilities Line of Business
Your responsibilities will include\:
- Support project mobilization, environmental and sustainability performance reporting (including NGER), assurance activities (eg internal audits), environmental incident review and investigations.
- Drive alignment to the UGL Environmental Management System.
- Raise environment and sustainability awareness and capability, including executing training, mentoring and coaching.
- Build a strong culture of environmental awareness and ownership with operational leaders.
- Environmental resource strategy planning for future UGL projects
About you
- Relevant experience with proven ability to lead, manage and implement improved environment and operational sustainability outcomes.
- Sound level of knowledge of project delivery lifecycle
- Extensive experience developing and managing process change programs.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with business stakeholders and influence all levels of the Utilities line of Business.
