ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS:
- Lead the facility hazardous waste program in full compliance with RCRA (40 CFR 260–273) and Large Quantity Generator (LQG) requirements, including waste classification, accumulation areas, inspections, manifests, LDRs, and biennial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with DOT Hazardous Materials Regulations (49 CFR 171–180) by properly classifying hazardous materials and overseeing compliant shipment and transportation practices.
- Coordinate all environmental compliance activities, maintaining and overseeing the ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 Management Systems, serving as Plant Lead Auditor, and supporting certification and third-party audits.
- Monitor, report, and drive continuous improvement of Environmental, Health, and Safety Management Systems through management reviews, corrective action tracking, and performance reporting.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate workplace health and safety risks through facility inspections, accident investigations, hazard analyses, and corrective/preventive action recommendations.
- Develop, implement, and coordinate EHS policies, permits, training programs, and safety communications to promote regulatory compliance and safety culture.
- Serve as an EHS technical resource to leadership and departments, facilitating safety meetings, maintaining records, overseeing consultants, and supporting legal, insurance, and regulatory inquiries.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s (BS or BA) Degree in Environmental Health and Safety, or related degree.
- CSP, CIH, or CHMM certification is preferred.
- Wastewater certification a plus.
WORK EXPERIENCE / TECHNICAL TRAINING:
- Requires 5+ years of experience in EHS position in a manufacturing environment.
- Requires certification in ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or ability to obtain certification within six months of being hired.
- Requires strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

Pay range: $65,000 - $85,000 annual salary
