An accountant for a solar installation company handles daily financial operations, including Tally data entry, GST compliance, invoicing, and vendor payments, typically requiring 1-3 years of experience and proficiency in GST/TDS. They manage project-wise costs for solar EPC projects, bank reconciliations, and employee reimbursements.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting: Maintain ledger, sales/purchase entries, bank reconciliation, and cash flow tracking, often using Tally Prime.
Taxation & Compliance: Manage GST returns, TDS, TCS, E-way bills, and statutory compliance (PF/ESIC).
Project Accounting: Track costs for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects to ensure profitability.
Billing & Invoicing: Generate invoices (PI/Bills) for solar components and O&M services.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and expense analyses.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Finance (BBA).
Software Proficiency: Tally Prime, Odoo, and MS Excel/Google Sheets.
Experience: 1–3years in finance, ideally within the solar or engineering sector.
Key Skills: Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and project-based accounting.
