ABOUT IIX GLOBAL
IIX (Impact Investment Exchange) is a Singapore-headquartered pioneer in impact investing, connecting capital markets with sustainable development. For over a decade, IIX has been building the infrastructure for impact — structuring innovative financial instruments, running donor-funded development programs, and developing digital platforms that serve impact investors, enterprises, and communities across Asia and beyond.
Our work spans impact-linked securities, blended finance, gender-lens investing, and climate finance — always with the goal of mobilizing private capital for social and environmental good. We are a lean, mission-obsessed team. Everyone here wears multiple hats, moves fast, and cares deeply. If you’re energized by that, you’ll thrive at IIX.
ROLE PURPOSE
IIX is at an inflection point in Indonesia. The SVP, Research & Government Relations leads the country's strategic agenda as de facto country head. What the team needs now is an operational partner: someone who can translate that strategic ambition into day-to-day reality.
The VP, Operations is the operational backbone of the Indonesia office. You will own the running of the Jakarta office, build the infrastructure needed to support a growing team, and serve as the key operational support for IIX's donor-funded program work in Indonesia.
Success means a team that shows up with purpose and cohesion, a program that delivers cleanly against its commitments, and an office built for the next stage of growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Office & Administrative Operations
You will take primary responsibility for the operational management of the Indonesia office, ensuring smooth day- to-day functioning with minimal need for escalation.
- Own the day-to-day running of the Jakarta office: facilities, vendors, HR logistics, and administrative systems
- Serve as the primary liaison with Singapore HQ on operational and compliance matters, ensuring Indonesiaoperates to IIX's global standards
- Drive team rhythms including stand-ups, all-hands meetings, and performance check-ins that create alignment and accountability across the Indonesia team
- Take ownership of the office culture: build an environment where staff feel seen and valued, where commitment is the norm, and where IIX’s PREM values are lived day to day
- Partner with the local HR team to embed PREM values across the Indonesia office and manage day-to-day office administration
Team Leadership
The Indonesia team requires a steady operational anchor to strengthen cohesion and execution discipline as it grows.
- Act as the operational lead for the Indonesia office, working closely with the SVP to drive team alignment and execution
- Navigate Indonesia's workplace culture with credibility and sensitivity, earning the trust of senior team members while holding everyone to a shared standard of delivery
- Build the people infrastructure: role mapping, recruitment support, onboarding processes, and HR policy localisation as the team grows
- Model the behaviours expected of a high-performing, mission-aligned team and make it easy for others to follow
Program Operations
IIX runs donor-funded programs in Indonesia. You will work closely with the SVP and Indonesia program team and own all operational aspects of program delivery, with financial oversight sitting with Singapore HQ.
- Partner with the SVP and Indonesia program team to ensure program workstreams stay on track: own milestone tracking, deliverable deadlines, and reporting timelines so leadership always has real-time visibility
- Manage operational aspects of procurement and subcontractor coordination, ensuring documentation is in place and processes are compliant with donor requirements
- Coordinate across internal teams to keep program priorities moving, and manage relationships with local service providers and external partners
- Flag delivery risks and timeline slippages early, and come with a resolution plan
Organisational Development
You will strengthen the operational foundation required for IIX Indonesia to scale effectively.
- Design and implement operating procedures, communication frameworks, and accountability systems fit for a growing office
- Work with Singapore HQ and external advisors to ensure compliance with Indonesian regulatory and employment requirements
- Identify and close organisational gaps in process, tools, and structure that currently create friction or slow delivery
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Experience & Skills
- 10 to 12 years of experience in operations, program management, or country management, ideally in a professional services, development finance, or mission-driven context
- Experience supporting or managing donor-funded development programs: program tracking, procurement oversight, and compliance with donor reporting requirements
- Strong track record working within teams in Indonesia and an understanding of how organisations here actually work
- Credibility to work alongside and influence senior professionals, including senior Indonesian colleagues, with cultural intelligence and quiet authority
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English; strong written English is essential for donor reporting and HQ communications
- Familiarity with impact investing, women's economic empowerment, or sustainable finance is an advantage
- Comfortable using AI tools to improve productivity and operational efficiency; curiosity about how AI can be applied in a development and finance context is a plus
The Person
- Culturally fluent: you understand the nuances of Indonesia's professional environment, particularly around respect and hierarchy. You navigate these with grace, earning trust while still holding people accountable.
- Steady and grounding: teams feel more focused when you are in the room. Not the loudest voice, but the clearest operational anchor.
- Systems thinker: you build order from ambiguity. You create trackers, close loops, and design infrastructure others rely on.
- Low-ego, high-ownership: you find satisfaction in making the team succeed. If something is at risk, you say so early and come with a plan.
- Mission-committed: IIX's work on gender equity, impact investing, and sustainable development matters to you personally.
