JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Implement and continuously review the cluster’s OHS management system by promoting staff awareness and commitment to safe work practices, while conducting site and workshop visits to enhance safety across operations
Ensure OHS strategic plans for the Cluster are developed and implemented on time by gathering, and analyzing the relevant information and facts to ensure a comprehensive plan is in place, along with the ADV Group OHS team
Ensure required resources and guidance are in place to achieve the SBU’s OHS objectives by monitoring availability, addressing gaps with relevant stakeholders, and strengthening the OHS culture with support from management and the ADV Group OHS team
Develop mechanisms to enable reporting and assessment of health and safety performance against KPI’s. (A Cluster OHS Scorecard)
Conduct accident and incident investigations, determine probable causes, and make recommendations for corrective action liaising with the relevant department to minimize the repetition of similar accidents/incidents in the future
Coordinate with HR to equip staff with essential safety knowledge and skills, particularly in accident prevention and fire safety, to ensure safe and effective day-to-day operations
Ensure effective implementation of quality standards by proper maintenance of documentation and controls are in place to ensure the quality standards are met and compliance with ISO, OHSAS & any other quality standards applicable
Collaborate with OHS & CS representatives to drive company-wide awareness through training, communications, and engagement initiatives, fostering a strong safety and sustainability culture
Identify and propose innovative initiatives to reduce environmental impact and enhance social outcomes
Share progress, challenges, and success stories of the sustainability initiatives executed by SBUs in their clusters, for inclusion in group-level reporting
Prepare and present the Cluster level progress in monthly review meetings
Plan and support the Biodiversity and Community related engagement activities for SBUs and Centre
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION
Bachelor's Degree approved by UGC or Equivalent professional qualification with a minimum of 3 years’ executive experience in Occupational Health and Safety
Fair knowledge and practical understanding of ISO 45001 standard
Technical knowledge in the logistics industry
Knowledge of warehousing, distribution and freight solutions is preferred
Exposure to corporate sustainability and ESG principles will be an added advantage
Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, NIOSH)
