Open to applicants that meet the requirements below.DescriptionUnder the limited supervision of a Geologist 3 or other supervisory official in a State department or agency, takes the lead and/or conducts complex field and office work pertaining to sub-surface investigations, soil compaction, mineral resources, and other related geological work; compiles and analyzes complex geological data; does other related duties as required.Specific to the Position
The proposed hourly employee would work under the supervision of a Geologist 3 or higher-level title and would be responsible for reviewing and processing CEA proposals.Requirements
NOTE: Applicants must meet one of the following or a combination of both experience and education. Thirty (30) semester hour credits are equal to one (1) year of relevant experience.Six (6) years of professional experience in geology, geophysics, and/or hydrogeology.ORPossession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in geology, or a bachelor's degree including or supplemented by thirty (30) semester-hour credits in geological subjects; and two (2) years of the above-mentioned professional experience.ORPossession of a master's degree in geology from an accredited college or university; and one (1) year of the above-mentioned professional experience.NOTE: "Professional experience" refers to work that is creative, analytical, evaluative, and interpretive; requires a range and depth of specialized knowledge of the profession's principles, concepts, theories, and practices; and is performed with the authority to act according to one's own judgment and make accurate and informed decisions.service by the closing date of this posting.
