Role Overview:
The Finance Coordinator provides key administrative, organizational, and coordination support to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Finance team. This role plays an important part in ensuring finance operations run efficiently by helping manage priorities, track deliverables, support internal processes, and coordinate communication across teams. The Finance Coordinator contributes to a collaborative, accountable, and well‑organized finance function aligned with ABI’s mission and values. This position reports to the CFO and works closely with cross-functional internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate finance‑related projects and support the execution of key initiatives to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met
- Track action items, timelines, and follow‑ups to support team accountability and workflow management Prepare materials for meetings, presentations, and internal communications
- Manage the CFO’s calendar, including scheduling meetings and coordinating logistics
- Support the rollout and implementation of new systems, tools, and internal finance processes
- Provide administrative and coordination support across the Finance team
- Maintain organized records, trackers, and documentation to improve operational efficiency
- Support cross‑functional collaboration by helping facilitate communication and workflow coordination
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 1–3 years of experience in administrative support, coordination, finance, or operations roles
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience supporting a senior leader or department head Exposure to finance, accounting, or operational environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting system implementations or process improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with project management or workflow tracking tools
- Experience in a public sector, nonprofit, or mission‑driven organization
- Experience supporting finance teams during audits, budgeting, or reporting cycles
