ABOUT THIS ESTIMATOR JOB
This position requires 45 - 50 hours per week and is based out of our Glendale, AZ office. You will travel to job sites as necessary to oversee progress, but this is not a remote position. All of our jobs are in the greater Phoenix area so no overnights needed.
As an Estimator, you will review blueprints, perform take-offs, and prepare detailed estimates using McCormick Estimating Software to create accurate bids. After submitting proposals, you will follow up with clients, negotiate contracts, and secure projects.
You will support project handoffs by reviewing budgets, confirming quantities, and ensuring material and subcontractor pricing aligns with the final estimate. You will contribute to pre‑job planning by clarifying scope assumptions and providing cost insight. You'll assist with pricing changes and supplying documentation for change order development. Throughout this process, you'll serve as a technical resource for field teams, helping ensure work aligns with the estimate.
Would you excel in this position? Here's what you need:
- 8+ years of experience in commercial electrical estimating and project management
- Valid AZ driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong understanding of ground-up commercial projects ($250,000 - $2 million)
- Extensive knowledge of NEC codes and industry best practices
- Proficiency in McCormick Estimating Software (preferred), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Bluebeam
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects (5-8 at a time)
- Confirmable professional references
