Job Title: Senior Solar Roofer
Location: South West England (Field-Based – Local Travel)
Salary: £32,000 – £45,000 + Vehicle + Benefits
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:00
About the Role
Valoris Group are working with a growing renewable energy contractor delivering high-quality solar PV installations across domestic and commercial projects.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Solar Roofer to play a key role within their installation team. This is a hands-on position, ideal for someone looking to step into a senior role while remaining actively involved on-site.
You will act as the go-to roofing specialist, ensuring installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, while also supporting and mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Roofing

Install solar PV mounting systems on pitched and flat roofs

Carry out roofing works including tiling, flashing, sealing, and weatherproofing

Ensure all installations maintain full roof integrity and compliance

Take ownership of more complex or bespoke installations
Technical Support

Support on-site technical decision making

Identify and resolve installation and roofing challenges

Ensure works are delivered in line with design specifications
Quality Assurance

Maintain high standards across all installations

Identify and rectify issues before project completion

Support final checks and handovers
Team Support & Mentoring

Guide and support junior installers on-site

Promote best practices in installation and safety

Contribute to overall team productivity and performance
Health & Safety

Work safely at height and follow all H&S procedures

Proactively identify and report risks

Maintain a safe and organised working environment
Requirements
-
Minimum 3+ years' experience in roofing or solar PV installation

Strong understanding of roofing systems and weatherproofing

Solar PV experience (highly desirable)

CSCS card (preferred)

Full UK Driving Licence

Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship

Comfortable working at height and outdoors

Ability to support and guide others on-site
