PURPOSE
Solar
PV System Project Manager to be responsible for site plans for solar panel
installation. The Project Manager takes the initial system concept ideas and
translates them into fully detailed construction ready system. Coordinating
with multiple team members and customers, balances the
necessity of a customer solution with the efficiency of standard practices
(International Standards, and Local Standards (MOMRA, and SEC).
Scope: To perform a full and complete Solar PV Systems (On grid, off
grid, Pumping Systems, Hybrid Systems) installation, testing, and commissioning.
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Develop a comprehensive project
plan, including defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Create a project schedule, allocate resources, and establish budgets.
- Stakeholder Management: Identify and engage with
relevant stakeholders, such as clients, contractors, suppliers, and
regulatory bodies. Maintain effective communication channels throughout
the project.
- Team Management: Lead and manage the project team,
including site engineers, technicians, and subcontractors. Assign tasks,
monitor progress, and ensure coordination among team members.
- Project Coordination: Oversee the execution of
project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards,
and safety protocols. Coordinate with different departments to ensure
smooth project implementation.
- Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project
expenditures, track costs, and ensure adherence to the allocated budget.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement effective cost control
measures.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop
mitigation strategies. Regularly assess project risks and take necessary
actions to minimize their impact on project delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project activities
meet the required quality standards. Conduct regular inspections and
audits to verify compliance with specifications and industry regulations.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate
project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and
change orders. Prepare regular project status reports for stakeholders and
senior management.Also, Maintain
accurate documentation related to site activities, including site reports,
installation records, as-built drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Health and Safety: Implement and enforce safety
protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety
meetings and inspections to prevent accidents or hazards.
- Site Assessment: Conduct site visits and assess the
feasibility of solar PV installations. Evaluate factors such as site
conditions, solar resource availability, and potential shading issues.
- Design Support: Collaborate with the design team to
review and provide technical input on solar PV system layouts, electrical
designs, and equipment selection.
- Installation Supervision: Oversee the installation
and commissioning of solar PV systems. Ensure compliance with design
specifications, industry standards, and safety guidelines.
- Quality Control: Conduct quality inspections during
various stages of installation to ensure proper workmanship, adherence to
standards, and compliance with electrical codes.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical
issues or challenges encountered during the installation process.
Coordinate with the project team to implement corrective actions.
- Testing and Commissioning: Perform electrical
testing, system performance evaluations, and commissioning procedures to
ensure proper functioning of the solar PV system.
- Excellent self-leadership and interpersonal
communication skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt to change and demonstrate
flexibility to a variety of schedules to meet business needs.
Requirements
- BSc, degree in Electrical
or a related discipline.
- 3+ years’ experience in Solar
PV/Industrial projects
- Preferred qualifications
include being a SEC Certified Installer or Designer.
- A Project Management
Professional (PMP)® certificate is highly desirable for this position.
- Have experience of PV
Systems performance analysis, Monitoring Systems, and the performance
guarantees, performance parameters.
- Strong technical background.
- Professional at understanding
PV Systems reports (PVsyst, Helioscope, and STAAD Pro)
- Ability to do project
management planning, and budgeting.
- Ability to use Project
management software (Primavera, and MS project)
- Have an experience in
construction, operation, and Monitoring of PV plant.
- Understanding of
contractual terms.
- Strong knowledge of Safety
and Risk assessment.
- Fluency in English
required.

- Good English writing skills

- Good Knowledge of MS office
