Winter Environmental is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to lead large-scale industrial, environmental remediation, demolition, and specialty contracting projects throughout the Southeast and Eastern United States.
This role is ideal for Project Managers with backgrounds in asbestos abatement, demolition, industrial services, or environmental remediation who are looking to expand into broader remediation, decommissioning, and industrial environmental work.
We are looking for experienced leaders who can safely manage regulated work, coordinate field operations, maintain client relationships, and deliver technically challenging projects in active industrial environments.
Travel is required. Company-paid travel expenses and per diem are provided when applicable.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage environmental remediation and industrial services projects from award through closeout
- Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, manpower plans, and logistics strategies
- Oversee field crews, superintendents, subcontractors, and specialty vendors
- Manage project safety, production, quality, and client coordination
- Lead site-specific safety planning and enforce OSHA and environmental compliance requirements
- Coordinate with industrial hygienists, consultants, inspectors, and regulatory agencies
- Track project costs, forecasting, change orders, invoicing, and financial performance
- Support estimating and preconstruction activities
- Mentor Project Engineers, Superintendents, and field leadership teams
Projects may include:
- Environmental remediation
- Soil and groundwater remediation
- Industrial cleaning and decommissioning
- Tank cleaning and removals
- Facility shutdowns and demolition
- Hazardous material abatement
- Environmental system installations
- Manufacturing, utility, and industrial facility work
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 3+ years of project management experience in environmental remediation, demolition, asbestos abatement, industrial services, or related construction work
- Experience managing regulated work safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of OSHA requirements and hazardous material controls
- Experience managing field crews, subcontractors, and consultants
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced industrial and construction environments
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
Preferred:
- OSHA 30
- HAZWOPER 40
- Lead RRP
- Experience with soil remediation, industrial services, or tank systems
- Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, utility, or power facilities
- Familiarity with environmental reporting and regulatory documentation
