Receptionist
We are seeking a professional, organised, and friendly Receptionist to be the first point of contact at our company. The successful candidate will manage our busy reception area, handle incoming communication and a busy switchboard and provide general administrative support while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification – minimum
- 10+ years relevant experience
- Excellent telephone manner
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Professional manner and appearance
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Basic computer literacy (Word, Teams, general office systems)
Key Responsibilities
Reception & Visitor Management
- Welcome visitors, manage sign-in procedures, issue access badges and ensure Health & Safety requirements are completed.
- Notify staff of visitor arrivals, arrange refreshments when required and ensure the reception area remains clean and professional.
- Liaise with cleaning staff, security and kitchen services as needed.
Switchboard & Communication
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls.
- Take messages and forward emails promptly to staff.
- Respond to general enquiries via phone and email.
- Maintain switchboard updates and report faults to IT.
Administration & Coordination
- Manage appointments for visitors and suppliers.
- Book boardrooms / auditorium via Teams and keep a record of meetings and staff whereabouts where possible.
- Handle occasional incoming / outgoing mail and courier deliveries.
- Update company contact details on internal platforms.
- Refer job applicants to the company website and assist with BBBEE certificate requests.
Customer Service & General Support
- Direct customer and supplier enquiries to the correct department.
- Monitor internal communication platforms and relay urgent messages when required.
- Coordinate refreshments, flowers and small staff arrangements in line with company guidelines.
- Handle confidential information with integrity at all times.
- Maintain a strong customer-service approach in all interactions.
