Description: The Environmental Specialist is the global support for all environmental matters including developing strategies for waste management, energy efficiency, and compliance with environmental regulations and standards, focusing on sustainable practices that reduce environmental impacts.
Responsibilities:
- Developand review environmental policiesand standard operating proceduresensuring alignment with relevantregulatory framework andtheenvironmental aspects related to ISO 9001:2015Quality Management System.
- Reviewand updateof standard operating procedures and policiesto reflect changes in regulations, technology,and best practices, ensuring continuous improvement in environmental performance.
- Develop,implementandmaintainthe Environmental Management Programme.
- Monitor the environmental performance of Oximio on the set management systems, produce data and report on the Company’s performance.
- Develop and implement action plans and methodologies which will assure theoptimumenvironmental management, minimising legal and financial liabilities.
- Developappropriate environmentaltraining and awareness initiatives and present such initiatives whereappropriate.
- Assistin the implementation of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
- Interpret andmonitorcurrent and future legislation, national and internationalinitiativesand trends,determinetherelevance for Oximio and ensure compliance.
- Conduct environmental assessment and assess the risks posed by Company’s activities that could result in environmental damage and recommend mitigation plans.
- MaintainEnvironmental Management System documentation in electronic and paper format.
- Ensuretimelycompletion ofpersonal training.
Requirements
- Relevant, demonstrable experience in asimilarlevel role
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience with, the implementation of environmental management system
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant environmental legislation
- Environmental experience at least1-2years
