Summary
This position is located in Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park, in the Visitor and Resource Protection Division. This position serves as the Chief Ranger and Senior Law Enforcement Offical and is responsible for directing, supervising and coordinating the human resources, funds, materials and facilities nessessary to implement the park's resource protection, law enforcement, and visitor use management programs.
Major Duties
Serves as the Chief Park Ranger, directing and managing a multi-faceted, complex program to provide program management for law enforcement personnel in Klondike Gold Rush National Park and visitor services associated with the Chilkoot Trail. Plans, directs, and manages through others, complex programs such as: Resource Protection, Aviation, Fees programs, and Visitor Use Management programs, Plan, Develop, Implement and Manage a complex resource and visitor protection and public safety programs Use law enforcement procedures to protect against and investigate crimes against the Park's resources Develops and maintains relationships with a variety of organizations and individuals including local, state and local organizations and individuals including local, state and federal government agencies, local schools, colleges, and universities, and local Native American groups. Serves as a member of the Park's leadership team
