Major Duties
If selected you will work as a Carpentry Worker, WG-4607-07 at Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park. Duties of the position include but are not limited to the following: Perform repairs to buildings and quarters. Repair and install doors, windows, trim, stairs, walkways, fences, etc. Patch, repair and install wood and asphalt shingles as well as metal roofing, felt paper and ice and water shields. Apply premixed paints or stains to masonry, gypsum board or wood surfaces using brushes or rollers. Paint various types of structures such as interior and exterior metal, wood and masonry surfaces. Apply standard measurements, specifications, and instructions to construct, install, and/or repair items such as wooden doors, windows, floors, decks, benches, tables, partitions, shelves, forms, siding, and scaffolds, as well as framing structures for doors and windows.
