Work Model: On Site in Erda, UT
Description:
As the IT Infrastructure Production Engineer, you will provide critical front-line support for our manufacturing operations on site, ensuring production uptime, uninterrupted operation of manufacturing systems and equipment.
This role supports manufacturing operations that may require occasional on-site support outside standard business hours, including evenings or weekends, during planned maintenance windows or unplanned production downtime.
Duties and Responsibilities:
IT Support:
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking on-site technical assistance as well as over the phone or email.
- First-tier of support for office users and production needs, responding to general IT requests.
- Maintain hardware, software and peripherals for office and production floor.
Production Line Support:
- Primary IT support line for production line equipment and workstations.
- Troubleshoot connectivity between testers, scanners, PLCs, Servers, and networked equipment.
- Ensuring all systems are operational and backed up.
- Provide on-site IT support during planned maintenance activities or production downtime, which may occur outside regular working hours.
Systems and Infrastructure:
- Monitor system uptime, Servers, Storage, backup, assets and networking devices (switches and firewalls).
- Document changes within the layout and maintain accurate schematics.
Incident/Request Management:
- Log tickets, track resolutions, escalations and maintain documentation.
- Direct escalations to the next level support personnel.
- Follow-up and update customer status and information.
- Pass on any feedback or suggestions and possible improvements on procedures.
- Other tasks assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Experience supporting IT in a production or industrial environment is preferred.
- Hardware and Windows Troubleshooting.
- Windows Servers and VMWARE experience is an advantage
- Networking knowledge (LAN, VAN, Cisco switches and Forti firewalls)
- Knowledge of Commvault Backup software or similar.
- Customer focused with strong communication skills.
- Project management capabilities with a high level of attention to detail and time management.
