Summary
This Senior Executive Service (SES) position is in the Office of Air and Radiation, Office of State Air Programs, Information Management Division. About the Office of Air and Radiation. This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.
Major Duties
The Information Management Division (IMD) provides comprehensive data management and information technology (IT) services and solutions related to air quality management. The Division is responsible for developing and managing air program support information and information management systems, including IT solutions, that collect, process, store and disseminate air quality-related data for use in informing strategies for air quality management and public health protection. The Division ensures the integrity, security, and accessibility of air quality data, emissions data, and other related data to support State/local/Tribal agencies, Agency partners, industry, and the public to meet their program and decision-making needs. Key Division functions include data management, application/tool development, IT infrastructure support, geospatial and modeling technologies, and IT user support. Specific duties of this position may include, but are not limited to: - Managing mission essential information and data systems critical to air quality management and air quality program implementation, including ambient air quality data and source emissions data and associated systems; - Assessing, developing, and implementing the Division's plans, goals, priorities, procedures, policies, and organizational structure; - Serving as the Agency's primary point of contact with internal and external partners with respect to the integrity, security, and accessibility of air quality data, emissions data, and other data that are of interest to those partners. - Overseeing the development, assessment, and improvement of management control systems in order to safeguard programs and achieve results while adhering to the Federal Managers Financial Integrity Act; - Ensuring that procurements, contracts, grants, and assistance are managed in accordance with Agency and office policies, regulatory requirements, and budgetary constraints; - Performing the full range of supervisory human resources functions for the Division and subordinate employees.
