A leading upstream Exploration & Production (E&P) company is
seeking an experienced Safety & Environment Specialist<\/b> to support
the safe execution of construction and brownfield project activities within
producing asset environments.<\/span>
<\/p>
This role will provide frontline HSE oversight across project execution
sites and contractor interfaces, ensuring compliance with company standards,
Nigerian regulatory requirements, and international best practice.<\/span>

Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>
Provide
site -based HSE supervision across construction and project execution
activities<\/span>
<\/li>Support
implementation of Project HSE Plans and Environmental Management Plans<\/span>
<\/li>Monitor
contractor compliance with safety procedures and regulatory expectations<\/span>
<\/li>Conduct site
inspections, audits, and toolbox safety engagements<\/span>
<\/li>Support
Permit -to -Work (PTW) and SIMOPS coordination activities<\/span>
<\/li>Participate in
risk assessments including JHAs and method statement reviews<\/span>
<\/li>Ensure
compliance with environmental protection requirements and reporting
standards<\/span>
<\/li>Support
incident investigations and corrective action tracking<\/span>
<\/li>Monitor safety
performance metrics and contractor HSE KPIs<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>Environmental Responsibilities<\/span><\/b>

Support
implementation of environmental compliance programmes<\/span>
<\/li>Monitor waste
management and spill prevention controls<\/span>
<\/li>Ensure
adherence to applicable Nigerian environmental regulations<\/span>
<\/li>Support
environmental reporting and audit readiness<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>

Requirements<\/h3>
Experience<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>
Minimum 10–15
years HSE experience in upstream oil & gas<\/b><\/span>
<\/li>Strong
background supporting construction and project environments<\/b><\/span>
<\/li>Experience
working within live operating asset environments<\/b><\/span>
<\/li>Demonstrated
contractor HSE supervision experience essential<\/span>
<\/li>Experience
supporting brownfield modification or facilities upgrade projects
preferred<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>Qualifications<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>
Bachelor’s
degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or
related discipline<\/span>
<\/li>NEBOSH
International General Certificate required<\/span><\/b>
<\/li>Additional
environmental or ISO certifications advantageous<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>Preferred Skills<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>
Strong
knowledge of Permit -to -Work systems<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Familiarity
with Nigerian upstream regulatory requirements<\/span>
<\/li>Incident
