& Environmental Attribute Lead Engineer is a key technical leadership
position responsible for ensuring the robustness of vehicle sealing systems and
environmental durability of vehicle systems and materials.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

This role combines
strategic and technical responsibilities covering vehicle tightness performance
and environmental exposure durability, ensuring VinFast vehicles maintain
functional reliability, interior comfort and system protection under diverse
climatic and environmental conditions.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

strong collaboration across design, materials, validation and manufacturing
teams to develop robust solutions capable of withstanding water, dust, air
leakage and environmental stress encountered in global markets<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/div>Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/span><\/u><\/span><\/b><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>Lead vehicle tightness and environmental attribute development, working with cross‑functional teams to meet performance, quality and cost targets. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>Lead water management and sealing strategy development across the full vehicle architecture.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>Define vehicle‑level tightness and environmental targets and cascade them to subsystem and component requirements.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>Develop and validate tightness test plans including Rain Proof, Dust Intrusion, Water Wading, Wet Pollution, Air Leakage and cabin tightness.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>Develop environmental validation strategies including CREST (Combined Road and Environmental Simulation Testing), climatic chamber testing, solar load exposure, thermal cycling and humidity exposure.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>Lead development and validation related to VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds), VIAQ (Vehicle Interior Air Quality), HVAC Purification and Air Quality monitoring systems.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and suppliers to integrate sealing, material and design solutions into vehicle development.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>Deliver robust water management and environmental durability solutions supporting vehicle development and validation phases.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>Support investigation and resolution of tightness and environmental issues detected during development testing or field operation.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>Mentor and support junior engineers to develop technical engineering skills.<\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience in vehicle tightness or environmental development and testing. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>Solid background in vehicle architecture with focus on BIW, Doors & Closures, Exterior, Interior, EE systems and Powertrain components affected by environmental exposure.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>Comprehensive knowledge of water management systems, sealing technologies, electro‑mechanical component insulation and environmental durability mechanisms.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>Experience with environmental durability validation such as climatic chamber testing, solar radiation exposure and thermal aging of materials.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>Understanding of interior material aging including color and gloss durability, trim degradation and environmental exposure impacts.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>Experience in manufacturing processes related to sealing (Body/Paint), plastic injection and general assembly.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>Demonstrated ability to manage projects effectively while working collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and external engineering and testing suppliers.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>Ability to perform effectively under high‑pressure conditions typical of a fast‑moving automotive development environment.<\/span>
