As a leading player in the EV market, VinFast is dedicated to delivering high-quality, cutting-edge electric vehicles that redefine the driving experience. Our team consists of passionate professionals driven by a shared vision of creating a greener and more sustainable future through innovation, technology, and excellence.
In this role, you will be instrumental in the Battery Cell Institute, using your extensive skills to process and analyze large volumes of data. You will collaborate with diverse teams, including Engineering, Quality Control and VINFAST suppliers, to create cutting-edge solutions that will drive the future of transportation.
- Mechanical Design & 3D Modeling:
-Create and refine 3D CAD models of battery
cells and subcomponents (e.g., casing, tabs, sealing components).
-Design
for thermal management, structural integrity, vibration, and impact resistance.
·Material & Component Selection:
-Specify materials for cell housing (e.g.,
aluminum, stainless steel, polymer) based on performance, cost, and
manufacturability.
-Design
for cell sealing, insulation, and tab interfaces.
·Design Validation
-Perform tolerance stack-up analysis, thermal
expansion analysis, and mechanical stress analysis (using FEA tools).
-Collaborate
on mechanical testing plans (e.g., crush, drop, vibration, thermal cycling
tests).
·Cross-functional Collaboration:
-Work with electro chemistry teams to ensure
design supports optimal cell performance.
-Interface
with thermal, electrical, and manufacturing teams for integrated design.
-Support
cell integration into modules/packs in collaboration with system integration
teams.
·DFMEA
-Ensure
designs are suitable for high-volume manufacturing.
-Incorporate
feedback from suppliers and manufacturing engineers to optimize production
readiness.
·Documentation & Compliance:
-Generate technical drawings and design
documentation.
-Ensure
compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., UL, IEC, ISO). Gather strategic information to make
data-driven decisions and identify creative solutions to key program challenge
-Prepare accurate and
timely reports, project documentation, and progress updates for management
and stakeholders
