Position Summary
In this role, you will help build Metrea’s enterprise‑wide Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) compliance system and prepare all Groups and Capability Areas for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification. You will also support those areas that already hold ISO certifications to ensure they maintain compliance, strengthen their systems, and remain audit‑ready year‑round. You will conduct internal audits, identify compliance gaps, and work directly with local teams to fix issues before external auditors arrive. You will also develop and mentor a virtual network of EHS representatives across the company, most of whom are not EHS specialists, to ensure every area consistently meets the standards required for enterprise certification. You will be successful if you can turn complex regulations into simple, workable practices that function across a diverse, global, aviation‑focused organization.
What You’ll Do
Support the implementation of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 within the Integrated Management System (IMS) as part of the Operational Compliance Team, ensuring these standards integrate seamlessly alongside ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 27001.
Conduct internal EHS compliance audits and structured gap analyses across all Groups and Capability Areas to assess readiness for future external ISO certification audits.
Work with leaders and site teams to close identified gaps and strengthen controls, documentation, records, and audit evidence.
Build and maintain Metrea’s global EHS compliance register, covering OSHA, EPA, UK HSE, EU directives, and other relevant jurisdictional requirements.
Track regulatory changes and update enterprise EHS policies, procedures, templates, and guidance to maintain compliance and alignment with the IMS.
Prepare Groups and Capability Areas for external ISO certification audits scheduled for late 2026 through early 2027, ensuring each area meets the requirements for successful enterprise-level certification.
Develop, manage, and mentor a virtual network of EHS representatives embedded within each Group and Capability Area, most of whom will not be EHS specialists.
Provide practical coaching, tools, templates, training, and ongoing support to enable EHS representatives to support their local leadership with day‑to‑day EHS responsibilities.
Contribute to EHS performance reporting, including KPIs, emerging risks, compliance trends, and ISO readiness assessments.
Partner closely with Safety (SMS), Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other functions to ensure EHS compliance is fully integrated into the broader aviation Safety Management System and the enterprise IMS.

Our Firmware
At Metrea, our single core value, Rooted in Humility, and our four cornerstone attributes—Entrepreneurial, Systematic, Discerning, and Over-Deliver. These form what we call our Teammate Firmware. Just like technical firmware connects software and hardware, our Firmware is the constant interface between our mission and our people. It defines how we show up, how we work together, and how we solve complex problems.
Our team Firmware creates a web-like, hyper-collaborative, dynamically hierarchical way of working that helps us adapt quickly, communicate openly, and distribute decision-making to where expertise actually lives. It enables groups to self-organize around hard problems, shift fluidly as priorities evolve, and operate with the trust, curiosity, and discipline required in a complex mission space. This foundation allows us to deliver elegant, effective solutions and uphold our purpose: protecting our precious inheritance.
