Trade-qualified? CEC accredited? Ready to get off the tools
and into a role with real flexibility?
We’re looking for an experienced solar electrician who wants to
use their expertise beyond the rooftop—supporting quality,
design, training, and technical leadership across Solahart
Sydney.
If you’ve run your own solar business or worked independently,
you’ll appreciate the freedom, trust, and autonomy this role
offers. Enjoy predictable hours, the ability to plan your weekends
again, and a work life that puts you back in control.
Why Solahart?
For almost 70 years, Solahart has been Australia’s most
recognised solar brand—built on innovation, reliability, and a
commitment to doing things properly. As part of the Rheem Australia
Group, we combine the stability of a major corporation with the
agility of a fast‑growing renewable energy leader.
What’s in it for you
- A competitive salary + company vehicle + tools + mobile +
laptop
- A level of autonomy rarely offered in corporate roles
(flexible hours, hybrid work options, and the trust to
influence your own schedule)
- A supportive team environment backed by a national
brand
- Ongoing professional development, upskilling, and pathways
into leadership or further technical specialist
roles
- Salary packaging options and discounts across Rheem
products
- Free onsite parking and access to our low‑cost canteen at
Rheem HQ
- Employee wellbeing programs and genuine career growth
opportunities
About the Role
As our Solar Technical Lead, you’ll be the
go‑to specialist supporting our Residential and Commercial Sales
Teams. You’ll hold the electrical licence for all PV installs
across Solahart Sydney and be responsible for ensuring
high-quality, compliant installations across our contractor
network.
You’ll spend less time on roofs and more time making an
impact—using your experience to guide installers, review designs,
solve complex technical issues, and improve safety and quality
across the region.
Your responsibilities include:
- Reviewing new PV system designs daily and flagging
potential installation issues
- Conducting regular quality inspections with our contractor
group
- Acting as the electrical licence holder for Solahart
Sydney
- Providing training, onboarding, product updates, and
technical support to contractors
- Feeding back real‑world product and installation insights
to the wider Solahart team
- Attending sites for servicing, troubleshooting, and
warranty assessments
- Helping diagnose complex customer issues and coordinating
multi‑team resolutions
- Maintaining high safety standards across all electrical and
installation activities
About You
You’re a hands-on, solutions‑focused electrician with a strong
background in solar installation—and you’re ready for the next
step.
You have:
- A current Electrical Licence + SAA/CEC Accreditation
- Broad experience installing and commissioning solar PV
systems
- The confidence to guide and train installers and
contractors
- Strong communication skills across technical and commercial
conversations
- Comfort using digital tools, mobile devices, and
cloud-based systems
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with a commitment to
quality
