Backed by R3.9 billion in equity capital from Old Mutual’s African Infrastructure Investment Managers (AIIM), we currentlyhave 1475 MW of generation capacity under construction.

About the role
This is a unique, high-growth opportunity for a high-achieving recent graduate to step into the inner workings of a rapidly scaling renewable energy leader. As the Assets Operations Associate, you will work directly with the Assets leadership team, acting as a central administrative and operational hub.
Your mission is to blend high-level strategic support and tech-enabled problem-solving with the essential administrative foundations required to keep our Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and O&M divisions moving at pace.
Key accountabilities
- Tech & AI Innovation:Identify and implement tech-enabled and AI solutions to automate repetitive workflows, freeing up the leadership team for strategic priorities.
- Leadership Support: Work closely with division leads on a wide range of tasks, from preparing complex PowerPoint presentations and Excel models to managing critical action items
- Operational Excellence: Manage essential "boots on the ground" administration, including document printing, coordinating physical signatures, and maintaining the central filing system for technical drawings and contracts.
- Procurement & Compliance: Assist with processing purchase orders, tracking supplier invoices, and coordinating safety audit schedules to ensure site compliance.
- Project Coordination: Manage inter-departmental meeting schedules, take minutes, and bridge the communication gap between technical teams and external vendors.
Role requirements
Qualifications:
- A recently completed degree in Engineering (Industrial, Process, Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical), BCom, or BSc.
Experience:
- 0-2 years of experience; what matters most is your drive, intellectual curiosity, and "all-in" attitude.
Knowledge, technical competence and skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint are essential).
- A "tech-native" mindset with the ability to leverage AI tools for productivity.
- Basic understanding of project tracking or document management systems.
