Position Overview
Reporting to the US Country Manager, the Sales Account Manager - Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Inverters - is responsible for driving revenue growth for C&I inverter solutions across 1000Vdc ground-mount and rooftop projects.
This role is a hands-on, commercial position focused on managing Channel Partners, EPCs, Developers, and Installers, in the C&I market segment. The Sales Account Manager will own opportunity execution end-to-end, working closely with internal technical and service teams, with the goal of supporting the customer.
The role operates in a growth-stage environment and requires a self-starter who can manage multiple opportunities in parallel, balance technical and commercial discussions, and build structure where processes are still evolving.
Key Responsibilities
C&I Sales Execution
- Drive sales for C & I inverter solutions across:
- New C&I project installations, both rooftop and ground-mount
- Select replacement or retrofit opportunities where applicable
- Own the full sales lifecycle, including opportunity qualification, proposal development, price negotiation, and closing
- Manage a high-volume opportunity pipeline with multiple EPCs and channel partners
Channel & Customer Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with:
- Distributors and channel partners
- C&I EPCs and installers
- Commercial solar developers
- Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for assigned C&I customers
- Support customers with product selection, system configuration, and commercial alignment
Commercial & Technical Coordination
- Partner with Engineering and Technical Sales teams to:
- Address site-specific design and interconnection requirements
- Ensure solutions meet customer and regulatory needs
- Coordinate with Service and Operations teams to align sales commitments with execution and support capabilities.
- Support customers during commissioning, early operation, and warranty discussions as needed. (Onsite support not required)
Market & Competitive Insight
- Monitor C&I market trends, pricing dynamics, and competitive positioning
- Provide customer and competitor feedback to Product Management and leadership
- Support development of C&I-specific sales tools, pricing frameworks, and go-to-market strategies
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with the Utility Sales team on shared EPCs or customers operating across segments
- Align with Marketing on C&I campaigns, events, and partner programs (RE+)
- Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, forecasting, and reporting in CRM systems
Operating in a Growth-Stage Environment
- Operate independently with limited structure or support infrastructure
- Take initiative to improve sales processes, tools, and customer engagement models
- Adapt quickly to evolving market conditions and organizational priorities
