The O&M Engineer provides essential technical expertise during the O&M phase of their renewable energy projects. Reporting to the Facility Manager, you will manage multi-disciplinary engineering aspects to ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and optimised for peak performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Management: Process project technical queries and manage the review of O&M manuals.
- Site Oversight: Conduct frequent site visits to monitor technical performance and verify that O&M activities align with contractual requirements and OEM manuals.
- Compliance & Risk: Manage defects, deviations, and non-compliance issues while providing technical support for warranty and insurance claims.
- Reporting: Compile, review, and present technical reports to stakeholders, including supporting preparations for EXCO and board meetings.
- Systems Optimisation: Utilise Central SCADA systems and mobile tools to coordinate O&M and Facility Management teams.
- Project Transitions: Coordinate involvement in commissioning and "Taking Over" phases to ensure projects meet contractually required tests.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: A Degree or Diploma in a relevant engineering or technical field.
- Experience: * Minimum of 3+ years in the renewable energy market.
- Minimum of 3+ years in Project Management.
- Proven experience in commissioning.
- Technical Knowledge: * Strong understanding of Wind technologies.
- Familiarity with Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), EPC, and O&M agreements.
- Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) legal requirements.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of business/data intelligence software.
