Summary
This position is in the Office of the Regional Administrator Region 1, Water Division. About: Region 1. This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.
Major Duties
You will: In coordination with the Director, plans, coordinates, and manages Water Division programs and operations—including Clean Water Act and Safe Drinking Water Act activities—to ensure efficient use of resources in alignment with established EPA and regional policies and guidance. Reviews and evaluates the Water Division's organizational effectiveness and operational impact on program outcomes; develops data‐driven recommendations to enhance processes, optimize resource use, and improve performance in alignment with EPA policies and water program goals. Assists in directing day-to-day Water Division operations—individually and through Office/Branch Chiefs—by overseeing correspondence control, budget formulation and execution, and meeting coordination to support Clean Water Act and Safe Drinking Water Act program delivery. Supervises assigned staff by providing guidance and counseling on established policies and procedures; monitors day-to-day compliance and performance; and addresses routine employee relations issues. You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
