Major Duties
The major duties of the Public Safety Dispatcher position include, but are not limited to, the following: Serve as the shift leader and primary point of contact for dispatch personnel Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and applicable standards (e.g., APCO, agency SOPs) Incident Coordination Ensure courteous, calm, and effective communication with callers and field personnel Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
