At the Counseling Center at Carbon Valley we believe mental health care is for everyone, not just during times of crisis, but as a foundation for growth, resilience, and lifelong well-being. Our clinicians play a meaningful role in empowering individuals, couples, and families to become that best versions of themselves.
We proudly serve clients across the lifespan, from children and adolescents to adults and geriatric populations, offering compassionate, inclusive care tailored to each stage of life. Our integrated, team-based approach includes individual, family, and couples counseling, group therapy, medication management, Early childhood development education and assessment, and outpatient substance use treatment. Together, these services support whole-person wellness and promote lasting recovering, for our clients and the community we serve.
This position includes eligibility for a monthly performance bonus.
What You Will Do:
- Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing behavioral health assessments to identify client needs and treatment goals.
- Provide crisis intervention services to ensure client safety and stabilization.
- Deliver high-quality individuals, family, and group therapy to individuals with primary mental health disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized, strength-based service plans that promote recovery and resilience.
- Monitor treatment progress and adjust interventions as clinically appropriate.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic health records and complete all required reporting.
- Provide case management services, connecting clients to community resources and supportive services.
- Coordinate care with internal teams and external providers to ensure integrated, client-centered treatment.
- Collaborate regularly with clinical supervisors, multidisciplinary team members, and psychiatrists to support effective care planning.
- Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and quality improvement initiatives.
You’re a Great Fit If You:
- Have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work, counseling, or another human services degree.
- Working towards a Masters Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling
- Have a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
- Can successfully complete pre-employment screening, including background check, fingerprinting, and drug and TB testing.
