About the Role
As an Advisor in our growing ESG team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients to integrate sustainable practices into their operations. This can involve working side-by-side with our counterparts to develop and implement sustainability strategies or it can be delivering project specific action, ranging from climate change risk assessments, Climate Transition Plans, or Social and Human Rights Impact Assessments.
Your work will enable our clients to enhance their environmental, social, and governance performance, and meet their market and regulatory performance requirements, to ensure their operations are positively impacting people and planet.
Key responsibilities:
- Support and/or lead sustainability assessments and research to identify areas for improvement and compliance with market and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement sustainability programs and initiatives that align with client objectives and deliver value creation.
Advise clients on specific sustainability areas, technologies and practices, for example in energy efficiency, waste reduction, and biodiversity.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate sustainability performance to stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure sustainability strategies are integrated across all project phases.
About you
You will have significant experience in a sustainability or ESG role, preferably gained within the consulting sector.
In addition, you will have:
- Proven experience conducting ESG assessments and developing effective sustainability strategies aligned with market and regulatory requirements.
- Strong report-writing skills, with a track record of delivering high-quality outputs for stakeholders.
- Familiarity with key sustainability and ESG reporting standards, including GRI, GRESB, ISC, Copper Mark, TSM, and ICMM.
- A commitment to staying current with ESG legislation, standards, and emerging trends.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills, both internally and externally
- Your degree in a relevant subject area such as environmental science, sustainability, engineering or similar is essential.
- Experience or technical qualifications in climate and emissions reporting is highly desirable but not essential.
