About the Role
Zenith Energy is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Contract Administrator - Renewable Energy to support the Contracts Manager and the Executive in the Commercial, Contracts, and Procurement department.
The rolewill provide analytical, performance, and commercial support for Zenith’s Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). The position is crucial for ensuring operational and contractual compliance, thereby improving performance and minimising commercial risk.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Assist with the review and evaluation of PPA commercial terms, including annual price reviews (escalations) and insurance provisions.
- Undertake quantitative analysis to support compliance with PPA and other contract obligations.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to identify risks, data gaps, and improvement opportunities within contract frameworks as directed.
- Participate in the ongoing review and administration of contract terms, including (without limitation) support for annual price reviews, heat rate guarantee, yield guarantee and renewable energy guarantee calculations, and related compliance activities as directed.
- On request, assist in preparing technical and commercial reports to support internal stakeholders and external client obligations, including
- Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting
- Emissions reporting,
- Large Scale Generation (LGC) certificates
- Related Green Benefit mechanisms as directed.
- Assist in tracking and documenting the performance of renewable and thermal assets in alignment with contractual requirements.
- Commit to learning and applying engineering principles relevant to renewable energy performance and compliance.
What we need from you
- 1-3 years professional experience
- Exposure to energy, mining, or infrastructure industries
- Understanding of contract administration principles
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong administration skills are essential, including being highly organised, process-driven, and detail-oriented.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business and Finance, Commerce, or Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
- Familiarity with renewable energy systems or performance analysis tools would be helpful
