Summary
This position is part of the Office of Environmental Management - Consolidated Business Center, Department of Energy. As a Supervisory General Attorney, you will be responsible for managing the work of a group of attorneys providing legal services on EMCBC acquisition and contractual matters. The legal services rendered include procurement, contract law, and litigation support.
Major Duties
As a Supervisory General Attorney, you will: Provides legal counsel to senior Department of Energy (DOE) leadership on acquisition and contractual matters. Manages a team of attorneys providing legal services related to procurement, contract law, and litigation support. Represents the Department before courts, Boards of Contract Appeals, and other federal and state administrative agencies. Reviews and suggests revisions to legislative proposals and evaluates proposed legislation and ordinances that may affect the Department's responsibilities. Supervises, plans, assigns, and balances the workload of legal staff, ensuring timely and competent completion of assignments.
