The Renewable Energy Consultant role has the responsibility of selling our energy solutions to target customer segments. Make no mistakes this is a sales role, right for a person who has a passion and aptitude for selling.
Sales Consultant core duties comprise of the following;
- Responding to inbound leads to generate quotes and close sales for new clients.
- Provide a high level of customer service, respond to customer sales and technical queries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Generate quotes in accordance with the pricing policy of AICA Energy Solar.
- Be involved with supplier training, conferences and company training.
- As a Sales consultant you will promote our solar PV, battery storage, electric vehicle charging and smart electrical solutions to our residential and small commercial business customers.
- Utilise CRM tools to document the end-to-end sales processes.
- Utilise Solar Design tools (SolarPlus, Open Solar & Nearmaps) to design solar solutions for our customers
- Participate in the national team, sharing and receiving knowledge and best practices and policies.
- Report progress at weekly sales team meetings.
- You are expected to have a high level of knowledge and understanding of the market that we operate in and products that we sell and promote.
- Meet your sales and margin targets
Requirements
Minimum 2-3 years sales experience, Solar and Battery Storage knowledge is essential
- Highly competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
- “Can do” and positive attitude.
- Highly resilient and determined.
- Customer-focused & relationship-oriented, confident with identifying and forging relationships
- Valid driver’s licence
- Comfortable with working autonomously, but also able to be a positive and active participant of a national sales team.
- Ability to hit sales targets, KPI’s and achieve a profitable territory.
- Tertiary education level highly desirable
