Overview
Due to continued company growth and expanding operations, we are seeking an experienced and driven Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join our team.
This role works closely with senior leadership and operational teams to strengthen workplace safety, ensure regulatory compliance, and support environmental programs across company operations. The position is well suited for someone who enjoys being actively involved in the work—developing programs, working alongside operations teams, and driving safety initiatives forward.
Position Summary
The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for managing OSHA compliance and environmental programs across company operations. This includes developing and implementing safety programs, maintaining regulatory documentation, leading incident investigations, conducting safety audits, and supporting environmental compliance initiatives.
The ideal candidate is proactive, hands-on, and energized by the opportunity to build, strengthen, and continuously improve safety programs across a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain OSHA compliance and regulatory reporting
- Manage environmental compliance programs including hazardous waste and stormwater requirements
- Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective actions
- Maintain OSHA logs and required documentation
- Develop and deliver safety training programs
- Conduct safety audits and risk assessments across operations
- Support Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives where applicable
- Serve as the primary contact during regulatory inspections
- Partner with operational leaders to proactively reduce workplace risk
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety, OSHA compliance, or industrial safety
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance standards
- Experience managing incident investigations, regulatory reporting, and safety documentation
- Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local safety regulations
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel approximately 20%
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM
- Experience in agricultural, irrigation, manufacturing, or industrial environments
- Experience supporting Process Safety Management (PSM) programs
- Prior experience working with regulatory agencies and inspections
