What We're Looking For:
The Solar Savings Specialist (SSS) works closely with residents to build relationships and increase participation in the program by educating households about the benefits of shared solar and facilitating enrollments. This work includes coordinating outreach activities at CHP properties, managing program data and budgets, scheduling on-site engagement, and communicating program updates with internal and external stakeholders. The position requires a collaborative and service-oriented approach, working closely with Resident Services colleagues, CHP staff, supervisors, and leadership to ensure program success while supporting the broader mission of CHP and the Resident Services department.
A Day in the Life of:
A typical day for a Resident Services Solar Savings Specialist blends community engagement, program coordination, and data management. The day may begin by reviewing enrollment progress, responding to resident inquiries, and updating program data or reports. Much of the role is spent connecting directly with residents—hosting outreach events, visiting CHP properties, or canvassing to educate households about the Solar Savings program and help them sign up for shared solar utility savings.
Throughout the day, the specialist collaborates with on-site staff, the Resident Services team, and partners such as Dimension Energy to coordinate activities, track participation, and communicate program updates. Time is also dedicated to scheduling future outreach efforts, monitoring enrollment goals, and ensuring program documentation and budget requirements stay on track. Because the position is hybrid and travel-focused, many days include time on the road visiting properties and building relationships with residents to expand access to clean energy savings.
Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

At least one year of experience in project management or program coordination; or one year of experience in the human services field.

Experience in utilities, solar, or low-pressure sales a plus.

High proficiency in including, but not limited to, Yardi Voyager, Smartsheet, Microsoft Suite, and Google Docs.
Hours, Benefits, and Compensation:
The compensation for this 40-hour-per-week position includes generous paid vacation/holidays/sick leave, health/dental/life/disability insurance, a 403b retirement plan with company match, and more.

The starting hourly range for this position ranges from $18.27-$26.44 per hour, depending on a combination of qualifications, education, and experience.In addition to base compensation, this role offers success-based, incremental bonuses tied to key performance milestones. The Solar Savings Specialist has the opportunity to earn additional bonuses as enrollment and program goals are achieved.
This position is funded through a 12-month grant. Extension of the position may be considered based on the success of the program and continued grant funding availability.
