Position Summary
Responsible for the delivery of birthday parties on-site for The Florida Aquarium. Arranges the room/s before, during, in between, and after the party. Stocks and prepares materials and supplies for upcoming scheduled birthday parties. Ensures that the birthday party is moving along in an engaging, safe, and effective way and meets or exceeds the needs/expectations of the customer and in direct support of the mission of The Florida Aquarium.
Essential Position Functions
- Works both weekend days when parties are scheduled.
- Conducts and leads birthday parties in the Aquarium.
- Delivers extraordinary customer service to all Aquarium guests and staff.
- Conducts activities and games with party guests and guides party guests around the aquarium.
- Assures that all needed materials and supplies are prepared and ready for all parties.
- Coordinates food/drink delivery and serving for party participants.
- Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of the party spaces and equipment.
- Effectively communicates with Leadership when items are needed or an issue arises.
- Works collaboratively with the Learning Team to communicate schedules and room locations for animal presentations, tours, and other experiences.
- Works effectively in a team environment.
- Attend required trainings and completes individual, team and/or organizational goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements and Technical Skills
- Experience working with children in a formal and/or informal setting
- Experience in customer service and problem solving techniques
- Interest in Biology, Education, or related discipline. An Associate’s degree working towards Bachelor’s degree or related work experience preferred.
- Hospitality, teaching and/or public speaking experience preferred

Typical Physical Requirements
