Summary

This position is part of the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer, within the Office of Workforce Technology and Development (OWTD) at the Department of Energy. As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist, you will be responsible for supervising a team of Human Resources Development Specialists and Management Analysts, who perform a variety of functions in support of the agency's employee development objectives.

Major Duties

As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist, you will: Direct and manage the daily operations of a team of employee development professionals performing various employee development activities, including work assignment, resource allocation, and performance management. Plan and evaluate employee development interventions, creates training policies, identifies priorities, and develops strategies to close competency gaps. Research organizational development and learning needs to improve processes related to talent management, including competency assessments, individual development planning, and annual training reports. Serve as a senior advisor on career and leadership development issues within the Department of Energy (DOE). Partner with organizations to implement a talent management strategy focused on developing, engaging, and retaining a high-performing and diverse workforce. Propose and defend a variety of training and development options and clarifies technical matters.
