Mission – Why we exist and why we need you
Geothermal energy is the most abundant renewable energy source in the world. There is 2,300 times more energy in geothermal heat in the ground than in oil, gas, coal, and methane combined. However, historically it’s been hard to find and expensive to develop. At Zanskar, we’re using better technology to find and develop new geothermal resources in order to make geothermal a cheap and vital contributor to a carbon-free electrical grid.
Field data is Zanskar’s life blood. We need passionate scientists to collect, prepare, and deliver high quality data and products to be utilized for discovery of resources, characterizing the subsurface and, ultimately, informing and derisking drilling and development decisions.
Outcomes - Problems you’ll solve
Success in this role includes being skilled in the planning, execution, and processing of a variety of field methods. Personnel will be expected to continually improve existing methods and may be involved or responsible for learning and deploying new methods in house to increase discovery rates and inform decisions. This role will involve collaboration with project geologists, data scientists, land team and drilling engineers to execute surveys and deliver impactful data products.
